Queensland reveals the date its final border rules will be scrapped
The final remnants of Fortress Queensland will come down within the week with domestic border restrictions to be entirely scrapped.
From 1am Saturday, January 15, border passes and negative tests will no longer be required to gain entry to the state.
It’s expected 90 per cent of the state’s eligible population will have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine by next week.
Restrictions that bar unvaccinated people from entering particular venues will remain in place.
