China’s ‘foreign interference’ slammed amid takeover of Scott Morrison’s WeChat
The Chinese government is being accused of foreign interference after Scott Morrison’s WeChat account was taken over.
The Prime Minister’s account on the Chinese-owned social media site has been rebranded as a pro-Beijing propaganda outfit.
Opposition leader Anthony Albanese’s account remains intact.
Senator James Paterson told Ben Fordham it’s “very concerning”.
“What the Chinese government has done is effectively foreign interference in our democracy and in an election year.
“There is no reason for Australian politicians to be on there anymore if the Chinese government is going to set the terms of the debate.”
