‘The alarmism needs to stop: It’s time to put the COVID fear behind us’ – Ben Fordham
Ben Fordham is calling on the end to alarmism as Australia learns to leave with COVID-19.
Ben has pointed to a comparison of 880 Australians dying of COVID in the last month like an Airbus A-320 plane crashing with no survivors every week.
“If you’re shocked by that number, brace yourself,” Ben said.
“Every year – about 160,000 Australians die.
“That’s 13,300 a month. Or, using the alarmist scale, that’s 16 A-320 planes full of people every week!”
In the same month 880 people have died with coronavirus:
- 4,000 Aussies died from cancer
- 1,300 died from Alzheimer’s
- 1,160 from heart disease
- 1,100 from respiratory illness
- 700 from stroke
Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant has revealed that of the 28 deaths from coronavirus last week in NSW only four did not have comorbidities.
These include:
- 10 had serious heart issues
- 7 had diabetes
- 6 had kidney disease
- 6 had obesity
- 6 had chronic lung disease
“The elderly and the vulnerable need to be very careful,” Ben said.
“But for the majority coronavirus should not be a source of crippling fear, it can no longer hold us back from living.
“We’ve sacrificed too much since all of this began.”
