The opera that changed the career of its 200th performer
Opera singer Lise Lindstrom is portraying the title role in the famous opera Turandot for the 200th time tonight.
The American dramatic soprano is performing with Opera Australia.
Ms Lindstrom told Deborah Knight while she’s exceeded her own expectations, at one point she quit singing.
“I had spent probably 10 years as a young singer doing the audition circuit.
“I was dirt poor and I just thought I must have been really wrong.”
