Senator calls for second Australia Day for Indigenous people
An Australian senator is suggesting a second Australia Day be introduced for Indigenous people.
The change the date debate is once again in the spotlight ahead of January 26.
Australian Senator Andrew Bragg told Ben Fordham January 27 should also be a public holiday.
“We should be more generous and much more reflective about the full history of this continent.
“A second day would allow us to look at the full picture of our past.”

The Federal Government has reached a copyright agreement with artist Harold Thomas, to transfer the Aboriginal flag into public hands.
It means the flag can be used on clothing, artworks, sports grounds and any other medium.
