2GB listeners have shared their heartbreaking stories as they call for compassion in end of life cases in NSW hospitals.

The NSW Premier has apologised for the shocking treatment of a Sydney woman denied the right to see her dying mother.

Gayle was made to wait in the hospital car park for her visiting exemption to be renewed, during which time her mother died.

She told Ben Fordham “I just didn’t want my mum to die alone”.

Listener Joanna was denied the right to see her dying father after he contracted coronavirus.
