Should the 9am-3pm school day be overhauled?
There’s a push to overhaul the current 9am-3pm school day in the name of flexibility and increase female participation in the workforce.
It was put on the agenda by NSW Premier Premier Dominic Perrottet who said the current system doesn’t work.
There will be a trial of longer school days at select schools in NSW later this year.
President of the NSW Parent’s Council Dr Rose Cantali told Jim Wilson on 2GB Drive it’s worth looking at.
“I think the Premier is right,” she said.
“I think we need to review and look at our education system, and the program and times, and make sure they’re meeting our needs.”
