The Head of Wastewater at Sydney Water attributes La Niña to impacting Sydney’s recent pollution of beaches.

Iain Fairbairn told Jim Wilson, “Unfortunately this can have an adverse impact on water quality.”

“The largest impact on waterway health has come from stormwater.

“The advice is to wait between 1-3 days if you want to have a swim.”
