‘No way back’: The ‘bleak’ outcome for Prince Andrew
Prince Andrew has had his civil sex abuse case settled and he will not face trial later this year.
The Queens ‘ favourite son’ was defending a case in New York against him brought by Virginia Giuffre who accused him of sexual abuse in 2001.
Royal Correspondent Victoria Arbiter told Jim Wilson the decision is “surprising”.
“Any reputational damage to him does ultimately reflect on the monarchy.”
Ms Arbiter said that Prince Andrew’s life after this case will be “pretty bleak”: “There is no way back from him in public life”.
