Outgoing Boothby MP Nicolle Flint has used her final speech to call out and be vocal about the offensive and sexist abuse she received during her tenure in politics.

Ms Flint has urged the parliament to provide better protection to women suffering abuse in politics by suggesting to strengthen laws.

Nicolle Flint has told Jim Wilson, “Enough is enough, women just want to be able to get on with their jobs”.

“We’re sick of the sexualised abuse.”

Taking clear aim at the ‘left’ in her speech Ms Flint has yet to hear from Labor Leader Anthony Albanese stating ” He has had plenty of warning and many pleas from me to stand up for women like he said he would”.

“I’m really disappointed that he hasn’t taken the numerous opportunity I have given him to stand up for all women.”

Directing that social media giants have yet to help get rid of the abuse through their algorithms she told Jim, “They’re the ones who are hugely responsible for this problem as well”.

“If they don’t, then we need to regulate.

“I’m going to stay on this issue regardless of what I do next.”
