Paramedics take a stand against chronic staff shortages
Patients are being warned of possible delays as paramedics take industrial action.
They have banned staff movements for the day, a practice whereby paramedics are relocated to other ambulance stations to cover roster gaps.
The Paramedics Association is calling for a pay rise of greater than the two and a half per cent on offer for all public servants.
Australian Paramedics Association NSW Assistant Secretary Alan O’Riordan told Ben Fordham they always want 1500 more staff.
“We are the lowest-paid paramedics in the country.”
