‘Do something!’: Ray Hadley blasts NSW Premier’s flood response
Ray Hadley is calling on the NSW Premier to take control of the flood emergency response amid criticism from local communities.
Dominic Perrottet apologised to flood-ravaged communities in northern NSW that have been left feeling abandoned.
The Premier also told Ben Fordham an inquiry will be held at some point in the future.
“If you need an inquiry to tell you what’s wrong, then you probably shouldn’t be Premier, mate!” Ray said.
“For god’s sake be decisive and do something!”
Ray has suggested Shane Fitzsimmons be put in charge of flood recovery, separate from Resilience NSW (of which he is the Commissioner).
“He’s a can-do sort of bloke, unshackle him, Dominic!
“Take him away from the Resilience Commission, dismantle that!”

Former NSW minister Andrew Constance has echoed Ray’s suggestion a single person be put in charge of the recovery.
“Dom’s got to be able to make sure that there is no person in the NSW bureaucracy who is standing in the way of getting people back on their feet.”
