Jim Wilson has slammed ministers and bureaucrats clambering over each other to be front and centre during the flood emergency.

Jim said, “I’m a big Shane Fitzsimmons supporter but he’s been hamstrung by govt red tape and this whole mindset by some high up in the govt who want to hog the limelight for political gain”.

“The main voice at a media conference when it comes to natural disasters or crises should be the lead combat agency.”

“What I want to see is the premier or the deputy premier to start the media briefing, then get out of the way and hand it over to the experts!”
