The NSW Premier will look to Mick Fuller for a key role in flood recovery as the government attempts an overhaul to disaster management.

Ben Fordham Live understands the NSW Government is set to bring in Mr Fuller to help with ‘future planning’ around natural disasters.

The government is expected to appoint local emergency coordinators, based on community feedback.

All communities in danger areas will have formal emergency plans in the event of a disaster.

There’s going to be a major campaign to get more SES volunteers and to broaden the skills of volunteers in the RFS to be able to help in flood disasters.
