Melbourne Storm head coach Craig Bellamy is about to hit a historical milestone coaching his 500th NRL game.

The Melbourne Storm will play the Penrith Panthers this Thursday on home soil and are hoping to grab a victory in honour of their tenured coach.

Since Bellamy arrived at the club in 2003, the club has played in five grand finals and won three premierships.

Craig Bellamy told Mark Levy, “What has helped my longevity is that we’ve had a whole heap of wonderful great players”.

“I always take it that I owe them something.

“The club has looked after me really well.”
