Students at a western Sydney school were reportedly made to urinate in buckets while the school was in lockdown.

Werrington County Public School was locked down for several hours yesterday because of an incident on school grounds.

Listener Scott is one of a number of listeners who told Ben Fordham the students were made to “urinate in buckets”.

The office of the NSW Education Minister was initially refuting the claim.

But Minister Sarah Mitchell told Ben Fordham she’s “incredibly unhappy” at the lack of information out of the Department of Education.

“I’ve had very strong conversations already this morning with senior staff of the Department, I want a full investigation.

“What has gone on here is totally unacceptable, it’s not in line with normal protocol.”
