Recycling funding boost aims to provide solutions for Australia
It’s been announced that the Coalition will put $60m into recycling initiatives and issue tax changes to encourage farmers to reduce their carbon output.
The news comes as the Australia Institute ‘Thinktank’ launched a new television campaign accusing the government of using ‘dodgy carbon credits’ and calling the Coalition net-zero plan a ‘fraud’.
The funding program will target and focus on plastics that are difficult to recycle.
Federal Environment Minister Sussan Ley told Joe Hildebrand, “We want to work with the industry to design solutions”.
“I’d encourage every state government listening to work together.”
