Ambulance Commissioner clarifies when people should and shouldn’t call 000
Ambulance staff are currently being stretched to their limits due to getting more calls for help now than ever before.
At the start of March, Ambulance was getting an average of 3,000 calls per day now the 7-day rolling average is 3,800 calls.
NSW Ambulance Commissioner Dominic Morgan told Jim Wilson in emergency circumstances individuals need to stop and think the situation through.
“Think about the situation that they’ve got in front of them and ask themselves is this something my general practitioner could assist me with?”
“We’ve got to save triple zero for saving lives.
“We’re coming into another wave.”
