NRL Head of Football believes Solomona controversial tackle ruling wasn’t given enough ‘weighting’
NRL Head of Football Graham Annesley has said it’s fair that fans are blowing up in relation to the ruling of Storm giant Nelson Asofa-Solomona.
The front-rower has escaped time on the sideline following an ugly high shot in Melbourne’s defeat to Parramatta on Saturday night.
The Melbourne front-rower avoided copping a sin-bin but was reported for a high hit on Parramatta forward Makahesi Makatoa.
He was only charged with a grade one careless high tackle and will pay a $1000 fine rather than miss games.
Graham Annesley told Mark Levy and Billy Slater, “After we reviewed the incident… we don’t think it’s at the level where it should’ve been”.
“We think Nelson should have spent some time in the sin bin.”
