Former Director of the Australian War Memorial Dr Brendan Nelson says Australians have to demonstrate that “we are a people worthy” of Anzac’s sacrifices.

Mr Nelson told Jim Wilson how important the day means to him.

“It’s about love, friendship … love for our country.”

“This is our opportunity … to honour men and women who’s life were devoted largely not to themselves but to us.”
