WATCH | Candidate attacked over ‘F*** Xi Jinping’ sign
An election candidate claims he’s set to be charged after holding up a controversial sign.
Drew Pavlou was campaigning for the seat of Bennelong with the sign ‘F*** Xi Jinping’.
As a result, he was allegedly abused by several Chinese locals.

Mr Pavlou told Ben Fordham he received a call from a police officer after the incident
“He was implying I had incited the violence somehow by holding up a sign in the middle of Sydney.”
He admits he might not have used the same language on the sign if he had his time again.
