Mathematician wants gaming used in schools to help teach
A mathematician is encouraging teachers to incorporate gaming to keep children engaged in learning.
A number of NSW schools have banned mobile phones and laptops in the classroom.
But Grok Academy CEO James Curran told Ben Fordham technology should be embraced.
“We should be looking for technology that says ‘I’m interested in sport or I really love Minecraft, what are the questions I can answer in maths that are going to put me in that context so that I can see the point of learning mathematics.'”
