Ben Fordham believes Australia’s current staff shortages are the “biggest” challenges facing businesses.

Australia’s unemployment rate is currently at 3.9 per cent, the lowest level since 1974, but Ben thinks it’s all “smoke and mirrors”.

A number of business owners have contacted Ben Fordham Live sharing their struggles with finding new staff.

Ben also questioned the accuracy of the unemployment figure.

“There are hundreds of thousands of people who could be working, who are not,” Ben said.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do.

“If you don’t get these people back to work, more businesses are going to go broke.”
