A local transport company has highlighted its struggles with hiring staff, as shortages continue to affect Australia.

Warren and Tania contacted Ben to explain their struggle with hiring staff as individuals are submitting CVs in order to receive Centrelink benefits.

Tania told Ben Fordham when they call people for the advertised role there’s no answer.

As a result, the couple has lost work and trucks are sitting empty with no drivers.

“Most people don’t respond to the ads … they’re not qualified,” Tania said.

“Sometimes they don’t even know what the job is that they applied for.”
