Ray Warren joins Ray Hadley in-studio for a trip down memory lane
Ray Warren has joined Ray Hadley in-studio for a chat to reflect on his decorative commentary career.
The 78-year-old announced he would be stepping away from live sport yesterday, ending a 55-year career and leaving him just short of 100 Origin calls.
Ray Warren told Ray Hadley he was worried that he would make “a goose” of himself if he kept commentating.
“With Penrith and Souths last year … I just thought to myself, maybe I give it away.”
“The most regrettable part about yesterday is that I have no influence on you!” Ray Hadley said.
As part of the chat, Ray Hadley brought in long time friend John Tapp to pay tribute.
“I can’t believe the sun is setting on one of the most distinguished careers in the history of Australian sports media,” John said.
