PSA union General Secretary ‘too tired’ for 2GB Drive interview after today’s strikes
Public Services Association union’s media team informed 2GB Drive that General Secretary Stewart Little couldn’t come on the show because the union is “exhausted” after today’s public sector workers strike.
30,000 members of the Public Services Association union downed tools and left work today, despite the commitment from the NSW government to lift wages.
On Monday, Premier Dominic Perrottet said that workers could expect a pay rise of 3 per cent this year, with another 0.5 per cent increase likely next year.
2GB Drive contacted the union’s media team to discuss today’s actions with Mr Little.
“They told us he was too tired to front up, apparently the unions are, in their words exhausted, can you believe that?” Jim said.
“I mean they’re obviously not too exhausted to strike, you can’t make this stuff up!
I try to be fair on this program, but when 30,000 workers down tools, and then their leadership say they’re too tired to front up on this show to explain themselves to the people of New South Wales, well forgive me for feeling a bit cheated.”

NSW Employee Relations Minister Damien Tudehope told Jim Wilson he is pleading with the unions to stop striking.
Mr Tudehope they are working with the unions, but can’t come to any agreements due to inconsistency.
“Put a pause on this for the purpose of consideration!”
