Asbestos saga at Castle Hill High continues
The ongoing asbestos disaster continues at Castle Hill High School with an e-mail sent to parents explaining that more asbestos has been detected.
Parents were first told in 2016 that the school was asbestos free, a claim which was proved wrong after asbestos detection earlier this year.
On May 31st the school was again declared safe but an email to parents today informed them new works would be carried out for more asbestos removal.
“I just couldn’t believe what I was reading,” Castle Hill High parent Kristen Clarke told Luke Grant.
“It’s clear that the situation has not been managed properly … now everyone’s wondering what’s next.”
Questions remain as to the whether students have been put at risk of exposure.
