Vineyard resident shares the reality of NSW flood crisis
Communities along the Hawkesbury are slowly beginning to clean up their properties as the flood levels slowly drop.
The Hawkesbury River still remains at major flooding levels in North Richmond, Windsor, Sackville, Lower Portland and Wisemans Ferry but people are still waiting for the all-clear to return home.
Some areas have seen a year’s worth of rain in three days, causing dams to overflow and rivers to break their banks.
It is the fourth flood emergency to hit parts of the city in 16 months.
Vineyard resident Tyler Cassel explained how hard these few days have been to Mark Levy especially considering this is the third time he has been hit with flood damages.
Mr Cassel shed light on how difficult it was to rescue his partner Zoe in a canoe.
