Two people have died in separate fires in Parramatta and Dulwich Hill today.

Police are investigating the causes of both the blazes.

Adam Dewberry from Fire & Rescue NSW joined Jim Wilson on Drive to remind the community of important fire safety precautions like having a working smoke alarm.

“Any death is too much … there’s a lot more the community can do to make themselves safer,” he said.
