‘I’m innocent’: MP John Sidoti vows to fight ICAC’s corrupt finding
Senior NSW MP John Sidoti says he is “innocent” after recent ICAC findings.
The member for Drummoyne has been found guilty of engaging in serious corrupt conduct by ICAC.
The corruption watchdog has dismissed some of the allegations against him but on others, he’s been labelled corrupt.
ICAC found he used his position to try to influence Canada Bay Councillors to support planning changes which would benefit his family.
Premier Dominic Perrottet told Mr Sidoti to resign from Parliament but the Drummoyne MP has no plans to do so.
Instead, he’ll challenge his corrupt finding in the Supreme Court and try to clear his name.
Mr Sidoti revealed to Ben Fordham what he said to NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet yesterday when asked to resign from his role.
