Former deputy premier John Barilaro has broken his silence after a video emerged of an altercation with a cameraman on Sydney’s northern beaches.

Ben Fordham has been sent footage of the incident which occurred outside a Manly bar on Saturday night.

The video is being investigated by police.

Mr Barilaro told Ben Fordham he wants to give evidence to the Parliamentary inquiry examining the Trade Commissioner’s role.

“I’ve stayed quiet during this whole ordeal.

“I’m being absolutely intruded on and harrassed … the media at the forefront.”

Nationals MP Wes Fang told Ben he agrees with Mr Cochran.

“This is getting out of control.

He says Labor needs to stop blocking Mr Barilaro from pleading his case at the inquiry.

“Give John the chance to speak.”
