Ben Fordham slams ‘crooked’ trade role recruitment
The NSW London Trade Commissioner had the lowest competency scores of shortlisted candidates but still went on to be appointed to the most highly paid position.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports other candidates, including former deputy premier John Barilaro, outperformed Stephen Cartwright.
Mr Cartwright is on a $600,000 a year package, higher than any other trade commissioner.
“There’s something that stinks about this process,” Ben said.
“And it looks like the process is all about getting mates into jobs.”
