A mother says her daughter is at risk of missing out on her best chance to walk again amid a desperate battle with the NDIS.

Seven-year-old daughter Ava was diagnosed with cancer when she was just 9 months old and is now wheelchair-bound.

NDIS will now cease the funding for  Ava’s specialised therapy sessions that she’s been doing since the age of three.

They claim it’s not, and never has been, reasonable and necessary to fund three hours per week of therapy.”

Mother Christine told Ben Fordham she’s been excelling.

“This is the only treatment that can actually give my daughter the best chance to walk.

“She loves this treatment because she can see herself how much it’s helped her.”
