Minister dismisses Allianz Stadium food and beverage price concerns
Jim Wilson has detailed the disasters facing the new Allianz Stadium after its recent opening night.
Pies were sold out an hour before kick-off and a beer is cost $14.
“So you can pay a squillion to sit in a fancy restaurant stroke eatery and have a steak or slow-cooked lamb shoulder but you can’t get a bloody pie pre-game,” Jim said.
“14 bucks for a can of beer, in addition, to close to 200 bucks for a ticket, how is this enticing for fans to go to the new stadium?”
To make matters worse, the bar on Saturday night shut 10 minutes into the second half.
“Sounds like a hoot of a Saturday night with the fun police at the new stadium.”
NSW Sports Minister Alister Henskens told Jim Wilson the quality of food and beverage at the stadium has never been better.
“People are raving about the stadium!”
