‘Lucky boy’: Harrison Endycott’s heartwarming journey to the PGA Tour

“Level-headed” Australian golfer Harrison Endycott has shared the emotional hardship he faced as a teen.

Endycott’s mother died when he was 15-years-old.

The rising star told Ray Hadley he felt “cheated” losing his mum at such a young age but overcame his “crossroads” to take the successful path of climbing the golfing ranks.

“When things happen so dramatically in such a quick time with life in general … human nature is very quick to blame because we see so much success around your life,” he said.

“As a 15-year-old to go through such a hardship, I hadn’t dealt with anything like that, there were no skills, there was no adult experience yet.”

Endycott is now set to make his PGA Tour debut tomorrow.

“There’s still some nerves but at the same time, it’s still a golf tournament.

“I’m a very lucky boy.”
