Nissan’s new X-Trail SUV

Nissan is one car importer whose struggled this year as COVID related shortages have hit it harder than most – sales of two of its popular core models, the X-Trail and Qashqui suffering as a result. Long delays for new generation models pushing their local debut out towards December. The fourth generation X-Trail is eagerly awaited early images showing it to be visually very appealing – in addition to the internal combustion engine models will be a hybrid variant offered for the first time. Nissan hopes this hybrid e-Power X-Trail will have the same success Toyota has had with its hybrid RAV-4. Although, whereas the hybrid RAV is available on front and all-wheel drive models the X-Trail e-Power will only be available on the two most expensive all-wheel drive Ti and Ti-L grades. Prices expected to start higher from around $55,000 drive-away. I’m David Berthon
