Ray Hadley rips into NRL boss over controversial junior league shake-up
Ray Hadley has ripped into NRL CEO Andrew Abdo for backing a change to junior rugby league.
In what is being dubbed “the biggest shake-up to junior rugby league in decades”, competitive games will be scrapped until the age of 13 and tackling banned until the under-7s.
The rollout of the new policy is expected to be put forward within the next fortnight.
“This appears to be an attempt to drag junior sport into a pretend PC world,” Ray said. “The NRL is pretending that winning and losing isn’t part of life.
“Andrew Abdo, wake up to yourself … the stuff you went on about with The Continuous Call Team was absolute PC bullsh*t.”
