Pledge to end violence against women & children

Bill Woods

Bill Woods is joined by Professor Kate Fitz-Gibbon, Monash Gender and Family Violence Prevention Centre, and lead of the National Plan consultation projects, to discuss the Federal, state and territory governments pledge to end violence against women and children in Australia within “one generation.”

“This National Plan represents a decade long commitment that Australian governments have made to supporting the recovery of victim-survivors of domestic, family and sexual violence”, says Professor Fitz-Gibbon.

“This is world leading. It sets the ambition to create a whole of system response that not only supports victim-survivors to survive but to thrive beyond their experience of violence.”
