The 71-year-old has been the member for Wakehurst for 32 years.

The veteran MP joins a list of Liberals leaving at the 2023 election.

Mr Hazzard has admitted to Ben Fordham Live that he received death threats during the pandemic, and had a police escort whenever he left the house.

“I had security at my house for a long long while.”

He also spoke to Ben Fordham about his admiration of Gladys Berejiklian’s leadership and addressed the wait on ICAC’s findings.

“I think it’s outrageous the review body is taking so long to give clarity on that.

“I would encourage to please be respectful and get a decision – move on.”
