Ben Fordham is questioning what the Prime Minister could be hiding over an NBA star’s appearance at a press conference.

The federal government has been reluctant to hand over basic documents in regards to Shaquille O’Neal’s appearance at a press conference on the Voice to Parliament.

The basketball superstar was expected to express his support for the Indigenous Voice to Parliament but left after a few vague comments.

The Guardian obtained heavily redacted documents relating to the appearance with a Freedom of Information request.

“It is literally a cover-up,” Ben said.

“If you’re willing to go to these lengths on something as trivial as this, it makes us wonder what else will be covered up.”

The documents included rehearsed lines that O’Neal could say at the press conference.
