An investigation has been launched into the improper placement of a mobile speed camera.

Listener Ben has sent Ray Hadley a photo of the speed camera hiding behind a tree on Palmyra Ave on the outskirts of St Marys.

NSW mobile speed cameras are banned from hiding behind trees, signs or parked cars.

Roads Minister Natalie Ward full statement:

“I have provided a clear directive to the Mobile Speed Camera operators that they must be clearly visible to motorists when they are operating.

“I am as frustrated as your listeners and have directed Transport for NSW to investigate the images supplied by your show.”
