What PM’s meeting with Xi Jinping means for international relations
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will meet with the Chinese president on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Bali.
The last time an Australian leader held talks with President Xi was in 2016.
Strategic Analysis Australia’s Michael Shoebridge told Ben Fordham while it is good news, “the meeting is probably the outcome”.
“I think President Xi now assesses that continuing to single Australia out as some kind of adversary … has run its course.
“He looks like he wants to calm China’s international relations down.”
