Free travel offered to Sydney train commuters to stop industrial action
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced fare-free travel for Sydney commuters next week.
70 per cent of Sydney’s trains will be out of service on Monday with the union refusing to call off industrial action.
The Rail Union will refuse to operate foreign built carriages on Monday and again on Friday.
That will mean a weekend time table will be used.
Rail Union Secretary Alex Claassens says despite meeting with the Premier, the industrial action will go ahead unless the Government meets their demands.
