The Prime Minister has accused Peter Dutton of ‘dog whistling’ to racist voters after questioning the $2 trillion committed to helping developing countries deal with the effects of climate change.
Australia signed up to the loss and damage climate fund at the COP27 summit.
But the opposition leader began Question Time on Monday by asking “doesn’t charity begin at home?”
“I don’t think it’s got anything to do with dog whistling but everything to do with the cost of living pressures,” Ben said.
