Photographs of the Mt Warning summit in the Northern Rivers could soon be banned under a new plan by the Aboriginal group which now controls the site. 

The traditional owners want to ban using photos or images of the mountain for tourism, advertising or business purposes.

127,000 people climb Mount Warning every year, but the sacred site was made off-limits to the public last month.

One Nation NSW leader Mark Latham told Luke Grant he can’t understand how one group can control a public asset this way.

“There is a trend inside the NSW Government to hand over all national parks to indigenous groups.”
