The Qantas flight from Auckland to Sydney has landed safe after the previous mayday call.

A Qantas spokesperson stated the flight experienced and issue with one of its engines about an hour from Sydney.

Passenger Nigel Morris from Qantas flight QF144 described the moment most flyers feared.

“There was a sense of uncertainty,” he told Chris O’Keefe.

Previously, Paramedics were responding to a mayday alert issued by crew on board a Qantas plane.

Flight QF144 from Auckland is due to land at Sydney Airport.

It’s believed one engine failed.
