‘He’s looking tricky’: Dutton demands clarity on PM’s ‘doctored transcript’
The Prime Minister is under growing pressure to explain an inaccurate interview transcript released by his office.
The official transcript of Anthony Albanese’s interview with Ben Fordham yesterday left words out of an answer about whether he consulted the Solicitor-General for advice on the Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

“I just think millions of Australians, frankly, Ray, at the moment are really shaking their heads, asking what on Earth the Prime Minister is doing,” Opposition leader Peter Dutton told Ray Hadley.
“He was looking tricky beforehand and he’s looking even more tricky now with the doctored transcript.”
Mr Dutton suggested the government will now struggle to sell an Indigenous Voice to Parliament to the Australian public.
“Remember they sent Linda Burney out to try and provide some context.
“Mark Dreyfus was then sent out to clean up after Linda Burney but he ended up just reading Tweets from Linda Burney on the 7.30 Report.
“And then Anthony Albanese came out to clean up after Mark Dreyfus, so I’m not sure who is left now to clean up the mess Albanese has created.”
