The Department of Education enticing teachers away from teaching
The Department of Education has seven attractive roles as Professional Support Officers paying a whopping $189,447 salary.
Chris believes that due to the shortage of over 2000 teachers in our public schools, it is necessary for teachers to remain in the profession.
The job description is providing high-quality, professional organisational and administrative support to the executive director.
“So you’re basically pulling teachers away from our kids to be a personal assistant to another bureaucrat,” Chris said.
“No knock on teachers trying to chase more money or better hours, fair play to them.
“But teachers should be teaching, shouldn’t they?
“More importantly, isn’t that what our kids need from them?”
