A church in Auburn has been rescued from a fire!
The St Thomas’ Anglican Church in Auburn was on fire today and has been successfully rescued.
Firefighters were inside the building in Auburn as it started collapsing around them but managed to contain the blaze.
Over 50 crew members were on the scene in Auburn working to extinguish the fire.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry at NSW Fire and Rescue told Chris O’Keefe the 150-year-old hall has been completely destroyed by fire in Sydney’s west but the rest has been saved.
