Joseph Tawadros serenades Deborah Knight with oud instrument

An Egyptian-born musician and composer played the oud LIVE on Afternoons with Deborah Knight.

The Australian Chamber Orchestra is teaming up with musician Joseph Tawadros for a reimagined performance of Vivaldi’s ‘The Four Seasons’.

Previously, he has “dabbled” with a total of 53 different instruments but admits to favouring the oud.

“It’s something that I’m really at home with and comfortable with,” Joseph added.

Bringing the oud into Vivaldi is a visionary approach by the Artistic Director of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Lead Violinist, Richard Tognetti.

“Richard has a great vision, and this is one of them.”
